The SDA is offering an
exciting overseas opportunity
for a lucky SDA member who
attends secondary school.
The scholarship is available through the
SDA’s association with AFS Australia,
the nation’s leading provider of
intercultural experiences and learning programs.
An SDA/AFS Go Discover short
overseas scholarship to Brazil is
available to SDA members.
- Brazil: Soccer and cultural scholarship of four weeks’ duration in October 2010.
- Learn to play ‘O Jono Bonito’ – the beautiful game – Brazilian style. Training covers techniques and
strategies as well as physical and
technical skills.
- The first seven days are dedicated to the home-stay experience
combined with cultural activities
in Sao Paolo, followed by three weeks’ accommodation in a 5-star
hotel which is part of the Soccer
Training Complex. Portuguese
language lessons provided as required.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 14 to 18 years old
- Keen interest in soccer
- Amateur level player.
