BREAKING: The SA Labor Party has committed to introducing a bill to Parliament to help STOP Paid Parking at TTP in its first 100 days if elected in March 2022.

So many South Aussie families are already struggling to keep up with the rising cost of living and the last thing they need is to fork out more cash just to go to work or to the shops.

To make this commitment a reality, we need to elect Peter Malinauskas and his Labor Team to Government on March 19.

Help us stand up to Westfield and stop paid parking at TTP by signing your name.

Since February 2021, there has been an outpouring of support for our campaign by the following groups:

  • TTP workers

  • Customers

  • TTP Businesses

  • Labor Leader Peter Malinauskas

  • Olivia Savvas (Labor Candidate for Newland)

  • Rhiannon Pearce (Labor Candidate for King)

  • Labor Member for Playford, Michael Brown

  • Labor Member for Torrens, Dana Wortley

  • Labor Member for Wright, Blair Boyer

  • Upper House Crossbenchers

  • Local Councillors

The only ones who don’t support our campaign are Westfield and the Marshall Liberal Government.

For over a year, we’ve called on local Liberal MPs, Richard Harvey (Member for Newland) and Paula Luethen (Member for King) to stand with us and over 10,000 people to fight Westfield’s plan.

But they’ve refused to pledge their support and take a strong stance to stop this.

The clock is ticking on this issue but in June 2021, Liberal Minister David Speirs even blatantly said that stopping paid parking isn’t at the top of their legislative agenda.

Westfield has not announced the payment structure yet. In other shopping centres where Westfield have done this, it can cost workers up to $35 a day.

This could set workers back $175 a week or $9,100 a year.
